this is an idea i had recently:

in the time before humans, and non-legendary pokemon, the Earth had just begun to take form. time, space, and antimatter existed, and the great clash between Groudon and Kyogre had been settled. continents cooled, yet still thrust magma and dust into the air. the seas were murky and lifeless. the sky was red, the world still burning, and was not yet breathable. it was during this time, that a great cataclysm occurred, threatening life from forming in this already unstable world.

a huge cluster of asteroids floated through space, on a direct collision course with Earth. sensing doom, Arceus called forth the great deities Dialga, Palkia, and Giratina to aid him in annihilating the giant rocks. blasting everything thy had at the asteroids, they couldn't destroy all of them. without Arceus needing to call for help, Mew, Airi, Oracion, and Apexys appeared to help as well, along with the magnetic force deities, Jadalgas, Opalagon, and Amythore. together, the legends destroyed everything that came their way in a unfathomable effort to protect the Earth from utter destruction. even Groudon, Kyogre, and Rayquaza blasted whatever they could into the sky to aid their creator.

after countless days of defending Earth, all that was left of the asteroids was a massive cloud of golden light. the streams of light scattered in all directions in the reddened sky, casting a beautiful, yet eerie calm over the land.

Earth's destruction had been avoided, but Arceus was uneasy. one question floated through his infinite mind, and it scared even him.

"We have exhausted ourselves nearly to our death's, yet we have survived."
Arceus looked up into the vastness of space.
"I wonder... if it could happen again?"

with great unease, Arceus and the other legends returned to their various locations on Earth, awaiting the inevitable future...

so what do you think? would it make a good idea for a story?
